today I felt inspired.

If we had a keen vision of all that is ordinary in human life, it would be like hearing the grass grow or the squirrel's heart beat, and we should die of that roar which is the other side of silence. - George Eliot

happy thought for the day

This will be me in the foreseeable future.

let's go play in the mountains

I could not get over how lovely miss thumbelina's blog is.

Seriously, I am considering quitting this city lifestyle for good, moving to some lovely place (like Alaska), and pursuing my creative dreams in the comfort of fresh air!
Everyone knows I'm a country girl, anyway.

I am also rather partial to areas like Palouse region.

Doesn't it make you want to saddle up and ride into the sunset?

I grew up in Wisconsin & moved to the east coast when I was 18.
Enjoy a few pictures of precisely the area where I grew up.

So, don't forget ...
The world is yours.

"Be aware that society is a dream-tester. Your dreams might be shaken, stirred, ignored, copied, disregarded, made fun of, resisted, or squashed."

I went to the library today in search of inspiration
and I found Sark's book Make Your Creative Dreams Real.

I just read the introduction out loud to Justin, and I am seriously excited to be inspired.

You know, it's very odd, because when I was in high school I had a close relationship with my guidance counselor.
My junior year he told me he was retiring, and I was really sad to see him go, but before he left he gave me a picture he had on his wall ...

(click for a larger view because you need to read it, too.)

A few posts ago, I wrote about believing in yourself and how I believe in you
and how you should believe in your dreams because they're real.
The truth is, I haven't been believing in my dreams lately.

I believe that this book is going to be the beginning of a very beautiful change in me.
I believe that my guidance counselor gave me that picture for a reason, and that there is a reason why I've been holding on to it all this time.
It's because he believed in me & I need to start believing in me, too.
