when i was growing up my mom always had a bed of gorgeous flowers in our yard.

a lovely lilac bush ...

my mom's mom favored tiger lilies ...



and my father's mother liked tulips ...



there's no reason to be all teary-eyed when things this gorgeous exist!

for the last week i've kind of been a mental mess.
my creative energy has been locked up,
so i haven't been posting much lately
(or reading your lovely blogs much, for that matter ...
trying to catch up now!)

a vacation would do me some good ... but for now i've been focusing on work.

hopefully the sunshine we're supposed to be getting later in the week will give me a new perspective.

until then, i'll think positively.
