how cool is this little clutch?
i have a million little ticket stub things of my own ... i wonder if i could make one?

the most beautiful shoes in the world.
i just read that anna sui is creating a line for target shoppers in september.
WOOT, WOOT!
in other news, i have been insanely busy with work.
its been raining in new york for what seems like 4 years.
it won't stop!
and from what i hear .. its raining everywhere else, too.
we need sunshine!
hope you folks are having a good week ...
here's a bit of inspiration for your thirsty eyes ...
(mary sue tells me this is a kåta ... i think it's pretty dreamy.)
thanks for tagging me, cottage cheese!
you are adorable!
the instructions are to name six (un)important things that make me happy ..
here goes ...
laughter

i love laughter. hearing it. seeing it. doing it.
sometimes i laugh so hard my sides start to hurt and i can't breath.
(these are the best laughs.)
the best part is, i usually find the most ridiculous things funny - like a hamster running on a wheel, or some birds fighting over a piece of bread.
yes! these are the things that make me laugh - i laugh a lot.
look at that cute little guy!
photography

i am in love with capturing images.
even if it's my little point and shoot (though i've moved on to bigger guns these days).
i love photography.
(pictured above, me with a camera.)
clouds

you know how you watch the clouds and make images out of them?
"look, i see a donkey!" or something like that?
yup, i love doing that.
(pictured above: the sky from my dad's backyard.)
hiking at the bluff near my house.

yeah, i still call my mom's house my house.
i call it my home because the first 18 years of my life were spent there.
it was about 15 minute drive to lake michigan and a nice hike.
(pictured above: me at the bluff with my grandpa's dog, cherry.)
eating fresh fruit and vegetables out of my grandparent's garden.

my grandpa and i used to sit in the garden on summer afternoons and soak up the scents and sun, eating sugar snap peas.
ah, those were the days.
dogs

they are cute and charming.
enough said!
this is my mom's beloved dog, gizmo.
definitely a part of the family!
(pictured above: gizmo and me getting ready for a bike ride.)
campfires

two summers ago, justin and i spent 2 months in wisconsin at my mom's house.
it was wonderful!
we cooked out, rode bikes, took pictures, and had campfires in her backyard almost every single night.
campfires always mesmerized me.
it's so wonderful to sit with your family and friends around the fire
and just talk.
(pictured above: campfire sky taken from my mom's backyard.)
so! i tag six beautiful cats ...

and by a lot of money i mean A LOT,
i'd buy these two things.

a rick owens biker jacket because it is, quite simply amazing.

and these ann demeulemeester lace up sandals, because i have been strangely captivated by their beauty ever since sea of shoes got a pair.
call me selfish if you must.
but those damn sandals and that gorgeous jacket haunt my dreams.
oh ... my sweet dreams!
i'm sorry if my last post depressed you.
i was a bit overwhelmed when i posted it,
but since this is my personal blog, i really wanted to say something.
thank you for all your comments and condolences - i really appreciate it.
today is a rainy day, but i busy one for me.
justin and i will be working at the MET gala tonight.
anna wintour always reels 'em in!
have a beautiful day, wherever you are!
UPDATE: the gala was excellent.
it turned out to be an extremely productive night for justin and me.
we both ended up with tons of pictures and video, so i am very happy!(young anna wintour)
this morning i received some horrible news that a friend of mine has died.
i'm feeling awfully sorry today,
searching for flights back to wisconsin for the funeral.
i wanted to share this quote with you
because i find comfort in words.
"We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."
- Charles Bukowski
