This is Felipe.
He moved to New York from Greece in 1957.

This shot was taken just a few blocks from our apartment in Queens.

Augusten Burroughs

What an exciting day!

This afternoon Justin & I scooted on over to Bryant Park
to listen to a book reading by Augusten Burroughs', for his new book,
A Wolf at the Table.

He was both hysterical and animated.
I enjoyed the experience very much!

I have been a longtime fan of his work.
When I was about 16, I was hanging out at the local library
and I was browsing the poetry section when I found this book.

It stuck out.
It looked interesting, to say the least.
I read it.
Then I read another, and another - always fascinated by his bizarre childhood and experiences.

I am partial to Dry, although Magical Thinking was fantastic.
Sellevision was hysterical.
I've only read about half of Possible Side Effects,
and have yet to read A Wolf at the Table.
Sellevision was his first book and only novel as of yet, but from what I've heard, he is now planning to write novels.

He is a sensational author & if you haven't read or heard of him - you should consider reading sometime.

The movie Running with Scissors does not nearly compare to the book, in my opinion.

Here's a few pictures from the day ...

He's a handsome fella, dont'cha think?

drink the water, drink it down

Today, since I have to wait for a package from UPS,
I figure - stay home - clean, scrub on my hands and knees
and organize somethin' serious.

Hope ya'll are havin' a good day, makin' progress.
