mmm ...

nothin' says beautiful, relaxing afternoon like celery sticks with peanut butter!

life is good.

happy thought for the day!

“Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands -- and then eat just one of the pieces.”

i shall retire to the english countryside ...

hello friends ...

sorry for the infrequent posts these days.
i have been very busy with work,
daydreaming of art and ideas,
and planning for the summer.

so far i have this:

early june - travel to wisconsin to attend little brother's (jacob) graduation

mid july - spend a week or two in wisconsin, celebrating my 21st birthday and riding bicycles in my hometown

august - go hike a mountain with my bestie, alexis, in beautiful washington state

it's gonna be a good summer ... i can feel it already!

did i mention i spent tuesday afternoon basking in the sunshine,
eating lunch and blowing bubbles?
um-hm! it was a lovely day!

tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 65?
yippie!

i think we might have to take a trip to the park!

until then, this is where i'll be in my mind ...

yee-haw, ride 'em cowboy!

my perfect vacation would be
riding horseback through the Redwood National Park.
and guess what ..?
it's right on the ocean!
que romántico!

i few years ago i went to Mackinac Island with my grandma
and we had the most amazing time!
we ate a lot of fudge (and eventually walked it off!)
we dined at the Grand Hotel one afternoon .. they have a GIANT buffet!
we visited the butterfly conservatory;
did i mention the flowers?!
mmmm .. lilacs!
we even stayed at the Lilac Tree Hotel!
and i went horseback riding through the Mackinac Island State Park.
here's me on my horse ...

oh, and p.s.
there are no cars allowed in this picturesque little town
(with the exception of emergency vehicles!)
bikes and horse drawn carriages ONLY!

i highly recommend this place for people who want to get away :-)

so, what's your perfect vacation?
any good recommendations of places you've been?
